This really blind sided everyone involved, even the machinist. What's good about this, IMHO, is that it assures 300Degree and potential customers that the machinists Quality Control process is in tact and functioning properly. This is the third or fourth machinist that 300Degree has been through for these fuel rails. The current machinist has been on board for the last 6 months and have shown to be quite competent. Finding a good machinist has been a real struggle in the past, as the machining on these rails is more complicated then it appears. Infact, during a typical fuel rails manufacturing process, the rails will go out 2 or 3 times for specialized machining and finishing processes before returning to the machinist for final machining. Lots of logistics involved.
